Política de garantía Carpe Diem Technology

Once any of our customers make a purchase, we along with our customers will carry out a verification process about the status and operation of the product within our office or store in order to give approval about the good condition of the product. Likewise, we will review the manuals, licenses, accessories and other issues related to the object of purchase to ensure the operation and good condition of the same.

Likewise, our clients are and will be notified about the warranty process that we manage in Carpe Diem Technology, including the effect and the conditions to make it effective if necessary.

Warranty Process

To begin the warranty process, our customers must present the product and its original purchase invoice, along with all manuals, accessories (chargers, batteries and other accessories specified in the invoice) and the original packaging in good condition in our office or store. Please note that the purchase invoice is issued in accordance with the law 1231 of July 2008. In Carpe Diem Technology we reserve the right of ownership of any merchandise, plus its total cancellation. Please note that any returned check will result in a penalty of 20% according to the provisions of article 731 of the Commercial Code and the invoice will cause default interest at the maximum rate required by Colombian Law as of the expiration date, as provided in Article 884 of the Commercial Code.

Subsequently, at Carpe Diem Technology, we will carry out the customer data verification process to define if the product enters into the warranty validity process, which will be effective if

  • The product has manufacturing faults, damages or defects.
  • The product quality is low for the characteristics attributed to it in relation to its use.
  • It meets with the warranty period stipulated for the product and with any of the above points.

Notice: Please note that the warranty diagnosis will be given in 8 business days and the compliance with it, will be given during the next 25 business days, counting from the product’s entry and will be delivered it on the date and time stipulated and informed by Carpe Diem Technology.

The warranty will NOT be effective and will be lost in case of:

  • Request a refund after 10 calendar days (Art. 2. Law 1231/08).
  • Technical manipulation for the fix or solution of the problem by third parties.
  • Damage caused by high voltage, shock, deterioration, deconfiguration of the product (Software, Virus, Operating system, Programs previously installed).
  • Handling of internal security seals.
  • The product warranty has met the expiration date.

Product Change

Once the product change is approved by warranty, our clients must take into account and understand the following:
  • The product exchange must be delivered with its original packaging and other specifications detailed in the invoice.
  • The change will be made by a product of the same reference.
  • If the change is for a product of lower value, a bonus will be given for the surplus that can be made effective in the purchase of a new product.
  • There will be no money refund.
  • If the change is for a higher value product, the surplus must be paid.
  • The new product will begin the warranty process as specified in this policy.

Response Time

If a warranty is effective, the response time by Carpe Diem Technology will be established depending on the availability of the company’s inventory at the time and conditions of third parties, by:

  • Company staff at the time the warranty is made effective at the time.
  • Availability and Terms and Conditions of third parties (Brand of the product to be changed).

Notice: Please note that the warranty diagnosis will be given in 8 business days and the compliance with it, will be given during the next 25 business days, counting from the product’s entry and will be delivered it on the date and time stipulated and informed by Carpe Diem Technology.

Closing Process

Carpe Diem Technology will deliver a document, which must be signed by the client, at the moment in which it is notified that:

  • The warranty is approved under the Terms and Conditions determined for the case. These Terms and Conditions will be notified verbally and in writing to the client.
  • The warranty is not approved. The reasons why the warranty of a product is not applied will be specified verbally and in writing to the client.
